How To Continue Making History For The WWE Women’s Roster, What Match is Next?

A History Making Match

wwe royal rumble

On the WWE roster, you have 15 women that have or could compete in a WWE ring right now. That is not including your two champions, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks. I am sure you can guess where this is going. The Alamodome is the perfect opportunity for the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble. 20 women, one enters every 60 seconds. The winner gets a shot at their respected brand’s champion at WrestleMania in Orlando. The list of competitors are as follows:

Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, Bayley, Carmella, Charlotte, Dana Brooke, Emma, Eva Marie, Lana, Maryse, Naomi, Natalya, Nikki Bella, Rosa Mendes, Nia Jax and Summer Rae.

That leaves four spots open for some surprises. You can always call on former champions to appear, such as Mickie James, Trish Stratus, Victoria and others. If that does not work for whatever reason, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce and even Asuka could be added to fill it out. With the Royal Rumble hyped as the biggest Royal Rumble ever, this is an excellent way to make history once again and give these women a chance to compete in front of 60,000 people. It also gives two women a chance to finally have a lengthy story line for the Women’s Championship heading into WrestleMania. I want to see something more than “we used to be friends and now we aren’t” story lines between these talented and skilled women. Give them meaning and give them depth in their character development.

WWE Hell in a Cell is extremely important because of this stipulation and they are putting trust in two women who have certainly deserved it. Is there a better feud in WWE right now than Charlotte and Sasha Banks? They continue to deliver and I am sure they will deliver once more at WWE Hell in a Cell, opening the door for more and exciting matches in 2017.
