Triple Threat Heats Up

The final pieces were added to the Triple Threat Match at No Mercy for the WWE World Championship. John Cena was verbally attacked on Smackdown Live by both men, with AJ Styles talking about how he does not want to hear about his history and how John Cena will not pass Ric Flair. Dean Ambrose gets in his face and talks about how Cena is kisses up to everyone backstage and is fake, claiming that he acts John Cena and Dean Ambrose is real. He goes on to talk about how John does not respect him or anyone else like him in the company and he will not change.

John Cena, after about 5 minutes of verbal bashing, attacks Dean Ambrose. Styles gets involved and then gets taken out. John Cena poses with the title and stands tall with his music blaring. AJ Styles stops that with a Phenomenal Forearm and then stands tall with his music. Dean Ambrose, however, gets the last laugh and hits a great Dirty Deeds on the champion right on the stage. Dean holds the title as Smackdown goes off the air.

Another compelling night for these three guys, with last week being about wrestling and this week through the voices of each men. I really believe AJ Styles will win and retain, but I am wondering who takes the loss. I can see AJ Styles stealing the win off of John Cena or Dean Ambrose hitting their finisher, with Styles sliding in for the win. It gives him heat, still talks about how he wins the “easy” way and ultimately continues his championship reign. I would love for AJ to become an Edge champion, always capitalizing on opportunities given to him, whether clean or dirty. He would thrive in that type of stereotypical champion with his biggest moment already passing by cleaning beating John Cena.
