Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “Fresh Feud, Familiar Faces”

Dolph Ziggler is Number One Contender

Yes, you read that right. In the main event that featured John Cena, AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin, it was Dolph Ziggler who came out on top. After an excellent match with all six men, Dolph would sneak in the ring and hit a Superkick to AJ Styles getting the win and heading to SummerSlam.

Fresh feuds is what WWE is giving us right now. As much as I want Bray to reach a new level, I think rushing him to face Dean Ambrose would not have been the best idea. Dolph deserves another shot, especially since he is still getting a great reaction and his promo tonight gave us a more serious, edgier and intense Dolph Ziggler. He is in a good spot right now, with other main event guys in storylines continuing. I give them credit for doing this, giving him the opportunity to sell himself in the next four weeks for SummerSlam. This could be really good timing.

He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
