Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Yes To Daniel Bryan, No To Two World Champions”

Darren Young defeated Alberto Del Rio

Darren Young picks up a quick win over Alberto Del Rio, thanks to a distraction on the outside. The Miz backfires and Young rolls him up. I understand this “underdog” angle they are trying to do, but I am not sold on their match at all. It seems rushed, forced and Young has not had enough time to really establish himself in the ring. He can wrestle, but not many people know this yet. I just do not want his loss on Sunday to completely deflate a gimmick they spent time on outside of the ring.

30 Minutes of Entertainment

Enzo and Cass, John Cena and The New Day took on The Club and The Wyatt Family. For the first half of these segments, Enzo and Cass cut their promo with John Cena. The Club would come out and talk about beating up John Cena. The New Day followed and then would get cut off by The Wyatt Family. If you were not entertained, you do not have a pulse. So many characters and personalities not overshadowing the others. It was a fun in-ring segment that spotlighted the strengths of so many superstars.

As you would expect, the match was pretty enjoyable. Braun and Cass stood off, with Enzo and AJ taking a lot of the offense in the ring. Rowan hit a few moves and the ending came when all hell broke loose and Styles hit s Styles Clash onto Enzo for the win. WWE made sure the “underdog” teams picked up the win before Battleground. The team that needed this the most was The Club. You definitely need them to look dominant and powerful, especially after suffering a loss at Money in the Bank and as the new core of talent approaches. Make their gimmick simply about beating people up. Also, Wyatt Family should win on Sunday. They should, just to set up a tag team championship match at SummerSlam. The New Day needs to lose, to overcome adversity and become stronger without the championships.
