Who Are the Top 10 Most Popular WWE Superstars on Social Media?

Whether you want to admit it or not, the fact is that professional wrestling is all about making a great show. That means acting the part both onstage and offstage. Today, one of the most efficient ways for many wrestling superstars to stay in touch with the audience is through internet. The social media websites like Twitter or Facebook offer you a chance to expand on your WWE experience or gain insight into the personal life of your favorite wrestler. While some stars use social media to make their characters more famous, others try to support various campaigns or show off their life outside of the spotlight. Here are the 10 most popular wwe stars on social media today.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin

To begin with, there’s the Mr Attitude himself, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. With over 7.5 million fans on Facebook and around 3.5 million followers on Twitter, Steve takes the 10th place on our list. While not too active on Facebook, he still posts regularly on Twitter, promoting various podcasts and wrestling events, as well as the show he’s hosting called Broken Skull Challenge. So, if you can’t get enough of Austin, besides visiting his pages, you can also listen to his podcast on The Steve Austin Show.

Shawn Michaels

Next up is Mr. Shawn Michaels. Having just slightly more Facebook followers than Steve Austin, Michaels takes on our 9th place. Relatively active both on Facebook and Twitter, Shawn Michaels posts about wrestling matches (who knew?), the upcoming events or his new book called Wrestling of my Life: The Legend, the Reality and the Faith of a WWE Superstar. It might be interesting to see the glamorous world of professional wrestling through the eyes of one of the greatest. Plus, the foreword is by Triple H and Stone Cold.

Sheamus

The 8th place goes to Sheamus, the Irish wrestling superstar. He is one of the rare people who decided not to exploit the Irish stereotypes when creating his character, but instead focused on the Gaelic warrior heritage of his people to create Sheamus O’Shaunessy, later excluding the last name. On his pages, Sheamus shows off his training routine, promotes WWE events and autograph signing, but also reposts interesting or funny pictures like Rick & Morty.

Triple H

Although no one in their right mind would dare to place Triple H 7th on any list, we are that brave or foolish enough. However, watching the social media figures, with over 12 million Facebook fans, it is only obvious that’s where he belongs. He posts fairly regularly, so if you’re The Game’s fan, you will certainly be pleased. Check out some of the upcoming events or reminisce on some good old times with your favorite destruction machine.

Randy Orton

Despite not being very active on social media, Randy “The Viper” still has more than 13 million fans on Facebook and over 4.5 million followers on Twitter. Whether it is to promote his WWE shows, to express his attitude towards US veterans, or to respond to some of the fans, Orton is loved on these social media. What else can be expected of a third-generation wrestling superstar like Randy?
