Jealously of Women

Charlotte comes out and talks about Sasha Banks. She says that Banks is jealous of her as champion and she only has a chant from the crowd. Out comes Sasha Banks, who talks about Charlotte being champion. She says Charlotte will never be her and Banks says she has never beaten her. Charlotte calls her delusional and says that she is the boss. Charlotte talks about their one year anniversary next year and Charlotte talks her legacy. Sasha Banks talks about being the boss and says what she is all about. Sasha hits a few elbows and Charlotte ends up getting a big boot to knock her down.

One thing Sasha has not done to the casual audience is explain who she is and what she is all about. Tonight was an opportunity for her to connect to the crowd and she did just that. This was a really good spotlight for her and Charlotte still getting a slight upper hand with the boot and escaping from a Banks Statement. I like this and think a few more weeks of development could give them an opportunity to compete at Battleground. A screwy finish there can set up the big stage at SummerSlam. Money can be made in the next six weeks for them.

Champion vs. Champion

The Miz takes control early on Dean Ambrose, sending him to the outside and hitting an elbow. Miz kisses his wife as they head to a commercial. Miz hits two kicks to Ambrose, focusing on his knee. He continues the assault, hitting a knee drop. Dean reverses it and then Miz locks in the Figure Four. She grabbed the bottom rope and the hold is broken. Dean throws him to the outside and hits some left hands. Miz continues to get knocked down and then a clothesline connects. Miz goes up top and Dirty Deeds is reversed, but Dean throws another lariat that connects.

Dean gets fired up and hits a Suicide Dive to the outside. Miz is back in the ring and Miz gets rolled up. Miz hits a big boot, but Dean is able to bounce off and hit Dirty Deeds for the win.

Dean and Miz work well together in the ring because they have separate execution in their offensive arsenals. They have a really strong ground and pound background, with just a little bit of athleticism needed. Like I have said before, I see this is an excellent mid card feud but we are talking about the WORLD FREAKING CHAMPION. The crowd gives him a great pop with his intro, but dies down during the match. Is it execution or is it simply because there is not a “WOW” factor.
