Women’s Action Before Sunday
Paige hits a running knee for a 2 count. Charlotte and Paige yell about whose house it is and trade punches, getting the offense really moving forward. Paige kicks down the champion and gets a two count. Charlotte ends up going for the Figure Eight, but is reversed with some elbow shots. Finally, Charlotte hits a big boot. She tries another attempt at her finisher, but Paige kicks her out of the ring and onto the floor in front of Becky and Natalya. Charlotte is helped back into the ring by Dana Brooke, but gets hit quickly for a RamPaige and takes the clean loss.
This win surprised me, but it is more about the communication issues between the champion and her new friend. Aside from that, a tag team match at Money in the Bank is a good call. You do not want to waste a championship match when it will easily be the fourth or fifth most important match on the card. Let it build more and let more pieces fall into place. With that being said, you need to establish how dominant the heels are. Natalya should take the clean loss, after Brooke clears the ring with Becky Lynch.
Sheamus’ New Feud
Sheamus vs. Apollo Crews will take place on Sunday on the pre-show. After a win from Sheamus over Zack Ryder, Crews comes out and stop the beating. He hits a few moves on the Celtic Warrior and Sheamus retreats. With the history that Sheamus has had, I am surprised there is not more intensity and more of a developed storyline for these two.
They can really give Apollo a credible guy to work with, which they did, but lacks a reason. It lacks why the fans are supposed to care. Instead of backstage segments, bring it to the live audience and see what they can get out of Crews in front of a live crowd.
