A really good match tonight, with just the right amount of action in the ring and distraction outside of it. Helms got involved late, bringing DJ Z down to attack Everett. After this, Helms hit Edwards in the head and allowed Lee to roll him up for the win.

Heel tactics at its most original form. I said earlier that Helms cannot overshadow the young guys for his ego. Well, his ego is big in TNA and it is WORKING. He is bringing these young guys along and giving the X-Division a purpose. He is giving them reason to feel important outside of just the basic “championship feud.” Lee and Everett are really good characters for Helms and Edwards is such a likable guy where any loss he takes you feel so bad for.

Tonight was a great example of the young talent in this specific division and how effective they can be with a veteran guy helping them along the way. With Al Snow and Helms working with younger talent, you can see how polished they have already become. They are more than just indy guys in TNA. It’s about character development.
