Sienna defeated Madison Rayne
Very predictable and quick, with Sienna picking up a win with a “back” injury from a Northern Lights Suplex. Did I want to see more of time and build to the finish? Absolutely, but this is not the character that Sienna should be right now. She is more of a dominant force and should be booked this way. She should not have any losses to her name this early and her win gives her a chance to face Jade. That could be a really good match, with Maria mixing in some intrigue from the outside.
Mixing Multiple Storylines
After a Facts of Life with Eli Drake, he teamed with the Tribunal, Abyss & Crazzy Steve to defeat Grado, Mahabali Shera, the BroMans, and Bram
I understand what TNA was trying to do here. They want to get as much time and spotlight on the lower card matches. I felt like trying to put three completely different feuds and storylines together, some being fresh and new, was not the right call. Bram and Eli Drake already have some sort of feud brewing and it’s for a championship. I would have enjoyed seeing them with the new Tribunal tag team and Shera/Grado. When you added the Tag Team Championship storyline with two others, it felt a little clogged and forced.
The Decay and The BroMans are really two opposite ends of the spectrum, but they could have really done more with it. Think about creative packages, some backstage “abduction” or “attack” to Jesse or Robbie. I have enjoyed the gym and video package from them over the past few weeks, but tonight was not the best decision to book them in this match. It was not needed. For Sunday, I have no doubt they will put on a good match. I really expect Jesse to showcase his raw strength and talent, hopefully carrying him and Robbie to another championship reign. They need the titles, The Decay are better as chasers. Especially when looking at this card, with a lot of the heels projected to win, you need a feel good moment.
