Bram defeated Lashley
With EC3 in charge, he made this match thanks to Drew Galloway. Lashley dominated most of the early going until Bram was able to get a knee up and then hit a spinning kick as Lashley tried for the Spear. Lashley gets frustrated and then gets disqualified with a steel chair. He hits a Spear and then Galloway appears. Galloway chases off Lashley, who escapes from the crowd.
As all of this happened to Bram, Eli Drake came out and cashed in his opportunity at the King of the Mountain contract. Drake picks up the victory and becomes the new King of the Mountain Champion.
I liked the continuation of the first few segments and how they tied into everything. Bram is great, he really is, but is better suited as a heel. Hopefully, TNA will let him target and blame Galloway for him losing the King of the Mountain championship to Eli Drake. There could be good potential in a Galloway/Bram feud. As for Lashley running off, it was not the best decision. Lashley is too dominant and show not be afraid of anyone. He does not need to be booked like every heel in the company.
BroMans Are Back
Mike Bennett was the special referee, his second job of the night for him because of EC3 in charge. Raquel distracted Tyrus on the outside which led to Jessie throwing Spud onto Tryus. Robbie dove onto Spud’s back and knocked them both down. He hit the Hart Attack clothesline and then Jessie put Spud in a Boston Crab. Spud taps out and the BroMans get a championship match at Slammiversary.
I have really enjoyed the face progression from Robbie and Jesse. They seem like two “bros from college,” using their popularity and hot women to get over with the crowd. Yes, they were good as cocky heels but this is a fresh start for two talented guys who deserve to be pushed much higher than they have been. Spud and Tyrus continue to have a downward spiral after not being involved with Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy’s feud anymore.
