Dolph Gets Aggressive
Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin were supposed to have a “technical wrestling match.” Instead, the bell rings and Dolph hits a low blow to get disqualified. He said he lost but Baron is still the loser.
Well, that was interesting. I am not sure the point of it, but at least it shows an edgier side of Dolph Ziggler. He became popular and fun when he broke rules, did not caree about fan cheering and stuck to his guns in the ring. Get him back to that. I feel like he cares too much about his gear than his personality in the ring. I want to see a changed gimmick from Dolph, one that focuses on himself getting to another level of aggression, another level of physicality. He is too much finesse right now.
The Club Attacks John Cena
John Cena makes his return and talks about coming back to a New Era in WWE. He says that the new era is going to have to go through him and he is nowhere close to being finished.
Out comes AJ Styles and the crowd goes absolutely crazy with chants for both men. AJ talks about waiting for this moment for a long time. They talk about the New Era and AJ extends a handshake. Gallows and Anderson come out and they agreed to go their separate ways. Gallows says it looks like he is sucking up to John Cena. Anderson says that he thought it was beneath him and they are here to kick ass and not kiss it. Styles ends up attacking John Cena and they all attack him. Styles leaves and then comes back again and again in the ring to attack him.
The Club is back together and attack the biggest name in WWE. I thought this was fantastic and makes Styles even bigger than most people thought he was. He is mainstream. Styles, Gallows and Anderson are so good together and there is a sense of realism when they are together. The mentality of them versus everyone else is such a refreshing and realistic angle where there are multiple ways to go from here. Styles vs. Cena is BIG MONEY. People want to see it and want to see AJ Styles not be “buried.” This is making Styles bigger, stronger, better and more unique.
