Eddie Edwards and DJ Z defeated Andrew Everett and Trevor Lee
A great and fast paced tag team match between four great X-Division talents, with Helm’s heel stable taking the loss. DJ Z dives through the first and second rope with a Suicide Dive and then heads up to the top. He misses a move, but lands on his feet. Lee kicks Z in the face and Everett targets his opponent. Everett misses a moonsault and Edwards hits a Suicide Dive to the outside on Lee. DJ Z hits a beautiful DDT to pick up the win.
I would have booked the new heels over the random pairing of Edwards and DJ Z, but I think tonight is the start of a really strong and interesting stable headed by Gregory Helms. One loss won’t kill them, but it would have made them look more dangerous if they got the last laugh and headed into the next few weeks with some positivity on their side, not doubt.
TNA Teasing Bram vs. Drake
Bram and Eli cut promos on one another which leads to Drake being teased to cash in. He says he will cash in another night and Bram tried to hit his finisher on him, but the briefcase holder slides out of the ring with no damage done. Testing the waters is a good thing for both guys. See how the crowd reacts and see if they are really interested in this. By the sounds of tonight, it looks like the fans are really backing Bram and Eli Drake is playing off a cowardly and slimy heel who thinks he has all of the control in his hands.
