The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz
Ramping up for WWE Extreme Rules, The Vaudevillians make a big statement by hitting their finisher on Kofi Kingston after their successful bout against The Dudley Boyz.
Nothing too big to note here, but you have to be impressed with the timing of how everything is working out. The Vaudevillians are in hot spots right now, with the most over team in 2015 and by taking out arguably one half of the most entertaining tag team in recent memory.
If they win the titles at Extreme Rules, which they should, they could really make themselves and make Enzo’s return a really dramatic television.
Elimination Match
Karl Anderson pushes him back in the corner and hits a big kick. Styles tags in and hits a few shots before another tag. Anderson takes a shot at Reigns on the apron and then exposes his knee but misses a knee drop on Uso. Gallows nails Uso, which allows Anderson to eliminate Jey Uso.
Gallows and Roman Reigns stand off, which allows Roman to knocks AJ off the apron with a punch. Jimmy tags in while Reigns nails Gallows and he hits a crossbody and an enziguri. Gallows hits a massive boot to his face. Anderson tags in and talks trash, but that backfires and Jimmy rolls him up to eliminate Anderson. Roman Reigns fights back on Gallows and connects with a Superman Punch. It comes down to Roman and AJ, where they go at it. Styles hits the pele kick and sends Reigns to the floor. As they approach the announce table, Anderson hits him with a chair. DQ ending and all hell breaks loose after. Roman and AJ end up standing off, with Roman saying he does not need a chair to beat him.
Compelling television right here. The crowd was into and I certainly was as well. The drama between polar opposite teams is captivating to me and really helps keep my interest. Gallows is in the best shape of his life, while Anderson is such a solid hand. I am excited to see Reigns and Styles tear each other apart because you can really see each guy turning a corner in their characteristics and gimmicks. That is when you know something good is going on. It does feel like a 50/50 split, even though most think The Club has about 75 percent.
