Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “An Unexpected Star Fuels Raw in Omaha”

Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler

wwe-raw-social-1-2.jpg

Corbin and Ziggler do battle on Raw in what I thought was a really solid contest. Baron is in control and misses a big boot. Dolph dropkicks him into the crowd over the barricade. When we come back from break, Baron is in control. Dolph hits his patented splash into the corner and a neck breaker.

Dolph Ziggler gets caught with a few big clotheslines and then the assault is on. Ziggler hits a Fame-asser for a close 2 count. After a blocked Zig Zag, Baron gets a quick two count. Dolph hits a splash and some punches, but he is hit on the turnbuckle and End of Days finishes off the former champion.

As much as I hated Baron Corbin losing at WWE Payback, I do like what they are doing with him right now. Is him in a feud with Dolph Ziggler better than him squashing people like Apollo Crews? Absolutely, especially since he is such a nice throw back to a clubbing and physical heel. He does so many little things in the ring to change the pace of the match. Tonight was Baron’s best night and I do hope they get one more bout to showcase just a little more of what he can do against an athletic and speedy Dolph Ziggler.

What is better than R-Truth vs. Fandango?

Well, a fan of mine on Twitter asked me to rank things better than this. It is quite simple. There are many things better to watch on Raw than this.

  1. Extreme Expose
  2. Santino Marella playing the trombone
  3. Steven Amell doing anything
  4. Any NXT feud currently
  5. Any TNA feud currently

The list goes on and on, but this is ridiculous and a complete waste of time over the past two months. Why? Why is this prevalent each week where it gets 5-10 minutes of television time?
