This Should Not Be Focused on Legends
Dean Ambrose had his show and brought out Ric Flair, Charlotte and Natalya. They get into a war of words and talk about their family background. They talk about how Ric beat Bret in WWE and in WCW. Nattie tries to talk about how she is going to usher in a new era. Charlotte dismisses this and raises her title in the air.
Why is the feud focusing more on Ric and Bret? They did this in NXT before and it hurt the focus on the actual talent. There is a way to implement them, but the promo needs to come from the champion and the challenger. WWE has some of the most talented and developed women on the roster in years. Focus on them and not on Ric and Bret, two guys who still have an appeal but not in this matter. Some fans could care less seeing these guys talk and cut promos.
Enzo and Cass defeated The Social Outcasts
A good, yet quick match from Enzo and Cass, picking up the win over Outcast members Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
Axel hits flying back elbow to Enzo in the corner, but Big Cass connects with a flying corner splash. Big Cass with the Empire Elbow to Axel and then drops Axel with the spinning side slam. Enzo lands the Rocket Launcher to pickup the victory. After the match, The Vaudevillains give Enzo & Big Cass a round of applause from the stage. Big Cass tells The Vaudevillians that they’ll be S…A…W…F…T after WWE Payback.
Like I said on Raw, this is good stuff from young tag teams. It is always fun to see The New Day be themselves on the mic and with the announce team. With three dynamic teams, WWE is in a good spot to help develop all three at once while making sure that neither of them are going to be forgotten.. like The Ascension.
