Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Relying on The Youth”

The number one contender took on a former world champion on Smackdown. AJ Styles and Alberto Del Rio delivered a great bout, with both men really focusing on lower body execution. They do have similarities and are strikers first, submission specialists second. With WWE, you need to remember that some of the WWE Universe is still not completely familiar with AJ Styles. You want everyone to love him, so have him motor through The League of Nations. You have some of the best actual heels on that team where nobody wants them to succeed.

I like this build of AJ Styles. I would have had him win at WrestleMania, but that seems to be forgotten now. You can’t complain about WWE utilizing some of their new faces right now. This is a prime opportunity to see who will succeed and who will fall down the ranks. Again, WWE has a bigger plan for AJ Styles after WWE Payback. I do not see him being champion, but I do see some big happenings taking place in the next few months.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
