What can I say that has not already been said?
It is Sunday night and I am walking out of WrestleMania 32 completely entertained, but confused. The Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match kicked off the main show at WrestleMania. My money was on Kevin Owens and only Kevin Owens. A guy that needs to motor through multiple men to make sure he is viewed as an ass kicking machine. With some excellent spots from basically everyone, it came down to The Miz and ZACK RYDER. Let me tell you this: I have always liked Ryder and think his booking over the past few years have been suspect. He puts in so much work and is deserving of a championship. His addition into this match came from an injury, so my initial thoughts were he has NO chance. He got a WrestleMania moment, but I begin to question what heel takes it from him and when. This Ladder Match was similar than last years and was an excellent addition to the card. This was the ONLY way to kick off the show. Great stuff with compelling spots and dramatic elements with multiple feuds involved, but a illogical winner.
Y2J Over AJ Styles
AJ Styles and Chris Jericho put on a great match as well, one that showcases to the world to the durability, athleticism and agility from Styles. All of their time, 17 minutes to be exact, was not able to save us from the questionable booking of Chris Jericho winning. So, Fandango can beat Chris on the main stage but WWE thinks that Jericho should win? I would have loved to be in creative when this decision was finalized. It really makes no sense to me. We all complain about Chris Jericho returning and then losing. This is a time where I think it was very necessary that he lost. Styles does not need to be “put over,” but should have been the heavy winner here. Either way, odd decision from WWE.
