Raw Starts With a Bang
The Undertaker kicks off Raw talking about what he is going to do at WrestleMania to Shane and possibly his father. Shane McMahon comes out and says that he will fight for his legacy and that The Undertaker’s legacy died two years ago when he lost. Shane is called “rich boy” and Undertaker calls him Vince’s b*tch. A fight breaks out and Shane gets dominated. He fights back and his Undertaker with punches and a monitor. He hits a flying elbow through the announce table. The Undertaker sits up after a minute or two and signals the throat cut to end the segment.
Although I wanted to see much more history being dragged into this, this was an excellent start to Raw. They kicked it off hot and gave us just enough action to hype up the match on Sunday. His legacy was brought up, his loss to Brock Lesnar. It was a shot of adrenaline and a shot of realism. Look, this was not their first choice but it is their BEST choice for WrestleMania.
AJ Styles Teases Chris Jericho
Zack Ryder picks up a win over Chris Jericho with a roll-up, but was more of a pawn in the match between Jericho and Styles. AJ comes out and taunts Chris Jericho and then Jericho flips out on the outside with a chair. He finally accepts the match.
It was enough that needed to be done. We have seen this match a few times, but not with a heel turn like this. Chris Jericho is so good at being such a jerk. This is going to be a clinic of a match and I am looking forward to it. They must do something different to make it special on the big stage.
