Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “Raw or The World Championship?”

Eva Marie on Raw

Say what you want, but she has the most heat from the crowd. She is a natural heel because men want her and women want to look like her. She also gets the “you can’t wrestle” cheer, but people want to see her. I am really happy to see her getting better in the ring and putting in more work than most to make it in this business. I am excited to see what happens with her and tonight, she stood by her Total Divas cast. They will face off against Lana, Naomi, Tamina, Summer Rae and Emma.

This is perfectly fine for a pre-show match. I do think that Eva Marie needs to turn her back on her girls. There is no way she can be a face and will get booed out of AT&T Stadium. At least that she gets a reaction. That is all that WWE cares about. But, do you think she turns Sunday or plays a very small role? I say she attacks Paige. Give Paige the opportunity to be utilized in a role that helps someone else out and keep her important. She might not be going for the title right now, but she is still a crowd favorite.

Stating a Case For Every Opponent

The way Kevin Owens was booked in a six man tag team match was perfect. He backed away and let everyone else get beaten down until he had a golden opportunity. Well, that opportunity backfired, as Sami Zayn and his teammates turned their backs on him. I want to briefly run down why each of these guys could potentially win on Sunday.

Kevin Owens: The odds on favorite for me. He needs to run rampant in 2016 and become a monster heel. Yes, he will get cheered but he is so good at getting every piece of emotion out of the fans and his opponent. My money is on KOMania.

Sami Zayn: An impact. A quick start on the main roster will make Sami Zayn unlike Neville. I fear that without instant credibility to the casual fan, they might overlook how good he can be in the ring. A title at his first WrestleMania can set up future success in 2016 and beyond. If not, will he fall down the wayside like other NXT guys have done?

Dolph Ziggler: A sleeper because of what he has done in the past, but Dolph can very well walk out of Dallas as champion. He is the “Anti-Authority” guy in WWE right now aside from Roman Reigns. A quick feud with Triple H and their great match on Raw makes him still a legit opponent. Does he NEED it? Maybe he does right now to get that steam back.

Stardust: A gimmick that has gone on longer than expected. I do think he deserves a singles championship because he can adapt to any situation. His athleticism and technical ability has always been sound and he could bring some unique intrigue to this championship.

The Miz: WWE’s best natural heel who can get any face over with his ability on the mic. He is actually very underrated in what WWE asks him to do. An IC Title means he could help Zayn or someone new to the audience over faster than normal.

Sin Cara: WWE could use Cara vs. Kalisto down the road and what better way than both holding championships and then splitting apart? Maybe too soon, but Cara has been pretty consistent in matches and could hit some big spots to get the crowd in Dallas behind him.

Zack Ryder: Are we rewinding a few years? Zack Ryder might be the least believable, especially since he was not in a 6 man tag team match with everyone else. Maybe he gets ticked off, attacks everyone and we get a heel Zack Ryder who is upset for being overlooked? Okay, maybe wishful thinking.
