Welcome Back, BroMans
Beer Money took on The BroMans, Jesse Godderz and Robbie E, in a solid tag team match. Two guys like E and Godderz should be placed in a much more beneficial situation on the card. The last time we saw them, Jesse dominated Robbie E and the feud simmered soon after. I used to go on record saying that they are one of the most talented teams on the roster, but the split seemed to come at the right time. Unfortunately, there was not momentum. Jesse got a brief push, but stalled.
Anyways, this was a really good match and I do think that BroMans should get back together. They can still pursue singles championships in a team, similar to how DJ Z was used. I think this gimmick got over in a natural and not forced way. That is what fans want to see. When you have Beer Money together and teaming on a weekly basis, you need more than just The Decay to target them. This shows depth and potential. It shows their strengths and athleticism together, which can’t be taken away. Are they too similar? Maybe, but the dynamic and personalities work against any team. Good night for both teams and hopefully this shows that TNA knows what they are doing.
Eddie vs. Crazzy Steve
Steve sends Edwards into the steel ring steps and then, with the help of Rosemary, roll six more chairs into the ring. Steve throws the steel chair to the back of Edwards and sets up another one. Edwards fights back with some chops to the chest and ends up getting a drop toe hold, sending him face first into a chair. Steve throws another chair to the back of Edwards and then throws one more. Steve wedges chairs in the middle of the ropes, but it is Eddie Edwards that sends Steve face first. Rosemary gets involved, which allows Eddie to rollup Steve and pick up the win.
It was very interesting to see all of the chairs used, but it makes sense for someone named Crazzy Steve. Hell, the guy has two Z’s to his name so you must know he is legit. I was alright with this match because it still gives Eddie Edwards the opportunity to be somewhat involved in a storyline. There was not much structure to the match, as it seemed more on the fly and was not smooth transitionally. It also helps Steve get over on a popular guy to the crowd. Do I agree with the outcome? No. Don’t make The Decay lose because of Rosemary. She should ALWAYS help them win, not the traditional manager who gets in the way. The Decay is nothing close to traditional.
