Isenberg Reacts: WWE Royal Rumble “WrestleMania Matches In Sight”

Kalisto became a two-time WWE United States Champion at the Royal Rumble. This really surprised me for a few reasons. WWE gave him the title only to drop it later that week on Smackdown. Why? So now, Alberto Del Rio drops it AGAIN to Kalisto a few weeks later. Why? Also, with the League of Nations having no championships, why are we supposed to care about them?

I would have given Kalisto the title and potentially put a few members of The League of Nations in a spot to fight for tag team gold. Hell, maybe even add one of those guys in a chase for the IC Title down the road. They are not sure what the hell they are supposed to do with them, which is frustrating.

Kalisto and Del Rio put on a good match, even though there were about 3 botched spots. Nobody can be perfect and this match was not perfect. WWE is going to roll with Kalisto. If I am WWE, line up 5 guys you think should get a shot at Kalisto and make a Ladder Match in Dallas. This could elevate a United States Championship match like the IC Title last year and give 5 other guys an opportunity to shine. We saw how good Kalisto is with ladders previously, so why not do it on the biggest stage?

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
