Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Who Better Than EC3?”

Why Did TNA Go This Route?

impact wrestlingThe final two matches to break down saw Bram lose to Davey Richards and Lashley defeated Drew Galloway.

Take a look at all four of these men and the path they have taken in the past 5 months. Drew Galloway was in a random stable, but was also in the main event at Bound For Glory. Lashley has traded wins and losses ever since his dominant championship reign. Bram has consistently proven that he is a unique and dominant force, with the ability to become a really good heel. He has “THE LOOK.” Davey Richards is part of one of the most successful tag teams and now is trying to make something out of a singles run.

If I am booking it, I give the win to Galloway and Bram. Obviously, they went the other route. Why do I pick them? First off, Lashley does not need to win a tournament to become champion. His look, his realistic fighting and his history in the sport somewhat devalues him if he has to go through a tournament. He is STILL Lashley. Galloway needs this. He has never been a world champion and needs to “prove” himself for lack of a better term.

I am still not LOVING Davey by himself, but understand what they are trying to do. What does Bram do now? Where does he go? Shouldn’t this tournament be about the guys who need a chance? An opportunity?

The matchups are as follows: EC3 vs. Davey Richards, Eric Young vs. Tigre Uno, Matt Hardy vs. Jesse Godderz and Mahabli Shera vs. Bobby Lashley. Give me EC3, Young, Lashley and Hardy.
