Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Let’s Make Kane ‘Kane’ Again”

It Just Feels Right

wwe smackdownPaige and her outspoken personality has taken over the division, talking trash on everyone involved. She gets in the face of Natalya tonight and ends up slapping her after talking about Nattie latching onto the other women in the division.

I loved it. I love how Paige is getting so close and then crossing the line full steam ahead. With Natalya, she is always viewed as the veteran helping the younger women succeed. With this, it stops her from continuing to be a force in the company. She looks to be in the best shape of her career and has always been a consistent and technical performer. She needed to be involved on day one, but better late than never.

Paige shines. She looks different. She wrestles different. She talks different. This was the perfect time for her to split off and really reboot this Divas Revolution. Check your pulse if Monday and tonight does not excite you for the future of Divas in WWE.

Why Walk Out?

Kevin Owens and Rusev teamed up to take on Dolph Ziggler and Ryback in a classic Smackdown tag team match. I feel like we have seen this before, where the heels dominate and Ryback gets a hot tag. He unloads on his counterparts, only for Kevin Owens to walk away and Rusev is left to dry.

Dolph Ziggler hits a Superkick and Ryback connects with Shell Shock for the win. I get that KO is a heel, but I HATE Owens as a cowardly heel. Maybe that is redundant, but Owens came to the main roster wanting to fight. He is anti-authority and does his own thing. Maybe therein lies the problem: Kevin Owens should rarely be involved in tag team matches. It is impossible to completely exclude him from these sort of matches, but him walking out does nothing for anyone involved. It actually hurts the faces more, not knowing if they can straight up win over two of your dominant heels.

At the end of the day, I just want Kevin Owens to be different, not the same heel that we have seen flutter into irrelevancy over the years.
