WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins was the main event, but what else would we see? With rumors running around about Sting or The Undertaker, it somewhat overshadowed Rollins.
The match was solid, with Seth getting a few moves in and Lesnar welcoming him to Suplex City. German Suplexes, T-Bone Suplex and more devastated Seth Rollins. He would get some kicks in and hit a few moves himself, but it was all about him surviving the beast. As Brock Lesnar hits an F5, the lights go out and a gong hits. The Undertaker appears and gets himself some of Brock Lesnar. He hits the Tombstone Piledriver two times and poses over Lesnar.
No complete finish is okay with me because it has been over two years since Lesnar got pinned or submitted. I think the ending was a little out there, but it makes sense. The Undertaker is back for 1 of 2 reasons.
1. Will he help his brother Kane? The man who was injured by Brock. I hope not and hope it is choice 2.
2. The Undertaker wants his revenge for the streak being snapped. He cannot go away and retire without beating Brock nad getting revenge.
People are going to complain about this and justifiably so. It is hard to see Taker vs. Lesnar again and suspend your belief that a 50+ year old guy beating a former UFC Champion. But, this is fake wrestling. This sport is pre-determined. I am not concerned about what is going to happen with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. Who does he face? One question was answered at Battleground, but five more are still floating in the air. The moment and the return felt important, felt special. I liked the return, but I question how good the match could be.
