Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Cesaro Has Turned Another Corner”

Has He Turned a Corner?

wwe smackdownCesaro vs. Rusev was an excellent match. Yes, it was on the “B” show, but Cesaro becomes the second man to pin Rusev. The other? John Cena. Cesaro has been the definition of excellence since Tyson Kidd has been injured and he was forced to swim by himself.

Rusev has fallen off a bit, but he is a guy that WWE built so much time and effort into that he can easily salvage a few losses. He still remains a dominant force in the WWE and a great “old school” heel. As for Cesaro, has he turned a corner?

Shane Shoemaker, who does an excellent job at CSRWrestling.com, posted a blog about Cesaro and John Cena from a few weeks ago. He talked about how great Cesaro is, but give Cena his due. I could not agree more. Cesaro is now on another level in terms of performance in the ring. While different, Cesaro and John Cena has put on classic matches against competitors of all shapes and sizes. Cesaro can go with a 200 pound guy or a 400 and  make it intriguing. Same for Cena.

Cesaro is more crisp, more technical and more unique. John Cena is more unorthodox, yet interesting. Cesaro has turned a corner and the next three months will tell you everything you need to know about what WWE thinks of him. If they are wise, give this guy a really long and developed feud and see what he does with it.
