Raw Quick Hits
– Dolph Ziggler gets destroyed by Rusev, who appears to be healthy. I think there needs to be a big payoff match and Rusev needs to come out on top. He has looked so weak in the past month that this is something that can quickly build him back up. It will also gives more reason to cheer Lana, who slowly continues to evolve into her own character.
– King Barrett beats R-Truth in a match. HOLY CRAP! This is considered an upset, huh? Barrett wins the award for worst booking of 2015.
– Prime Time Players watch The New Day defeat The Lucha Dragons. They go from getting crushed by Brock to beating a tag team with potential, but still not quite ready for any championship aspirations. At least they are giving time to more than one tag team, right?
-This is all you have for Dean Ambrose? Bo Dallas? Really?
An Instant Classic
Michael Cole hit the nail right on the head. Raw ended with an incredible match between Cesaro and John Cena. For the second week, Cesaro answers the challenge of John Cena, even interrupting Kevin Owens and having the former NXT Champion retreat.
Yes, we knew John Cena would not lose, but that is not the point. The point is that losing to John Cena in a match like this is A MILLION TIMES BETTER than the WWE Tag Team Championships. I miss Tyson Kidd and wish him a speedy recovery, but Cesaro is shining on his own again. What will it do in the long run?
I said it on Chair Shot Reality and stand firm. Cesaro vs. Ryback would be really fun. Also, Cesaro vs. Sheamus or Cesaro vs. Randy Orton would be secondary options. Either way, this guy is the best pure talent inside of the ring and MUST be put into a spot to succeed. He is too good to pass up on. He is better in the ring than Dolph Ziggler. He has the look of a world champion. He also has the backing of John Cena and the entire WWE Universe.
Will WWE capitalize?
