Ryback vs. Mark Henry
The “Big Guy” takes on Mark Henry on Smackdown in a pretty decent match. Power move after power move, with Mark Henry ducking out of a clothesline and hitting a big slam. Ryback would reverse a World’s Strongest Slam and hit a Spinebuster. After that, he finishes him off with a Shell Shock.
Another basic night for Ryback. I am not sure why Miz or Big Show did not come out for commentary, for interference or for a post-match attack. I give credit to Mark Henry for being the consummate professional.
He does the little things in the ring to make himself valuable, like screaming “Feed Me More” while Ryback lays on the mat. I would much rather see Mark Henry replace Big Show in this feud. He is more agile and more athletic. He has put on better matches over the years than Show has. It might be time for Show to just go.
Brie Bella defeated Naomi
Divas action takes place on Smackdown with a solid bout between Brie and Naomi. Naomi and Brie, not sure why the heel or face is here, go back and forth. Brie hits a running knee and is able to lay waste to Naomi. Alicia Fox celebrates with her and they stand tall tonight.
I hate the Divas division. Make a decision already. Do you want Naomi to be important? Obviously not. Do you think Alicia Fox is valuable? Obviously not. Utilize these two women, who have really good abilities inside and outside of the ring. They are more advanced as a character than Brie or Nikki. Unfortunately, I just know that they won’t get pushed anymore. They will be pieces of something not as interesting.
