WWE Tough Enough Returns, But Where’s the Wrestling!? My Thoughts on This Week’s Season Premiere & Ranking All 13 Competitors

Undecided

Gabi: I’m not really sure what to think about Gabi. She seemed to be the only one speaking up about Dianna’s terrible mindset, and she’s absolutely right – there are girls that would kill to be in her position, that deserve the chance way more than somebody who wants to go home on day one. I also like that she has experience in jui-jitsu. That being said, calling out Dianna in front of everyone, with the cameras rolling, is a good way to get everyone to hate you. It’s also a good indication that you can’t keep your opinions to yourself, which could lead to a lot of unneccessary drama in the lockerroom. During ‘Tough Talk’, she was basically called “stupid” by two different girls, then blamed it on the “lanugage barrier”, then said she’d been fluent for 11 years, then did nothing to actually prove she wasn’t…well, stupid. I’m not ready to actively vote against this girl, but she definitely isn’t on my Christmas card list. Also, when you start poll dancing 15 seconds into entering a club, you basically label yourself as the show’s “slut” character for the entire season – and there’s NOTHING wrong with poll dancing, or expressing your sexuality in any way you choose to, but you have to know how that comes across to a panel of WWE PG-oriented judges.

Joshua: He has a great look – or at least a look the Shot-Callers can drool over – but he brought nothing to the table. For all that size he couldn’t even lift the practice bag. When he was called up for elimination he said he’s “not even worried about it” and that he was “best for business”. If you’re on the stage in WEEK ONE, you should probably be WORRIED about it!
