Isenberg Reacts: WWE Money in the Bank “The Future For Owens, Reigns and Rollins”

Let’s Book Kevin Owens

Via Wrestlezone:

Kevin Owens vs John Cena

Owens and Cena try to one-up each other before Owens drops him with a punch, then Owens hits a few shoulder tackles. He continues to mock Cena and hits a side slam, then sets up an Attitude Adjustment but Cena counters. Cena applies a STF but Owens counters, then Cena hits an inverted suplex for two before Owens counters him once again. Owens hits a Codebreaker and a cannonball in the corner, then they trade punches before Owens hits a backbreaker. He heads up top for a senton but Cena knees him in the back, then he mocks Owens and hits a AA but only gets two.

Cena argues with the ref then heads up top, setting up a super AA but Owens counters by powerbombing him from an electric chair drop position. Owens hits a sitout side slam and pulls Cena into the corner, then Cena avoids another dive from the top rope before he slams Owens and heads up top. Owens counters a superplex with a cradle suplex off the ropes, then Cena surprises Owens with a STF. Owens makes it to the ropes and Owens tries to hit an Alabama Slam, but Cena counters with a somersault powerbomb for two. Owens comes right back with a pop-up powerbomb for two, then he punches Cena and tells him to stay down. Cena goes for a springboard stunner but Owens blocks it, then Cena turns and hits a AA for the win.

Winner – John Cena

Cena waits for Owens to get up and tells him he belongs here, then he hands Owens his title and asks for a handshake. Cena raises his arm… and Owens kicks him in the stomach and hits a powerbomb on the ring apron.

Right now, WWE is striking gold with this feud. It is natural. It is easy to book. John Cena and Kevin Owens have put on some excellent matches and promos over the past month. Kevin Owens has swam in a tank full of sharks. As NXT Champion, he should get one more match with John Cena. When?

Not to discredit the NXT Championship, but Finn Balor needs to take it off of Owens at the July 4th event on the WWE Network. This would be a great time for a championship change and could benefit both guys. Do we really need Cena vs. Owens at WWE Battleground? Can we wait until SummerSlam? Give these guys, who have carried the past month of television, the big spotlight.

Think of Owens in NYC against Cena for the US Title. This would be the best situation for both guys. John Cena can finally hand over a title to someone who has bashed it and who is from Canada nonetheless. Give Owens/Cena III a bigger stage than Battleground. I think this is the best thing WWE has going right now because all of the options will come out successful.
