Sheamus is Mr. Money in the Bank
The Money in the Bank Ladder Match kicked off the event in dramatic fashion. A little recap of the plot of the match.
-It seemed like WWE had 2 guys in the ring fighting and the other 5 going back and forth on the outside.
-Another new pairing and then continue the trend. There were some good spots, including Neville and Kofi.
-Also, I liked how WWE let Randy Orton get his big spots but not overshadow everyone else.
At the end of the match, Roman Reigns powerbombed Kofi to the outside and everyone was knocked out. Reigns is inches away, but the lights go out and Bray Wyatt appears. He throws Reigns off the ladder and hits Sister Abigail. Wyatt Leaves and Sheamus heads up the ladder, kicking off Neville. Sheamus is the winner of the ladder match and the briefcase.
Well, there were only two guys that could legitimately win this match. Sheamus was my second choice behind Reigns for many reasons. Is there a better old school heel than Sheamus right now? As much as I enjoy his work, I still boo him because I cannot stand him on my television each week.
THAT is what he is supposed to do. He is not a Kane or Big Show heel because we know he can still go and go at a high level. He gets a respect boo, similar to your enemies from teams that are rivals to your hometown sports.
Sheamus needed this and him not winning the Intercontinental Championship a few weeks ago shows that they hold Sheamus in high regards. This is a great spot for him and will ultimately get him back into championship matches. Give it time, though.
As for Bray Wyatt, he costs Roman Reigns and their encounter will happen at WWE Battleground. I really am intrigued, yet stumped. Still, WWE has these two young guys who both need wins under their belt. With the confusion of booking for a creative and unique guy like Wyatt, WWE pulls the trigger on pairing him with ANOTHER former member of The Shield.
Who comes out on top? Who wins? Don’t both guys need something positive here? Could there be a chance of a double switch? Bray is unique in his own way and WWE need to realize that a heel Roman Reigns may not be a bad thing.
