Dean Ambrose’s Night on Raw
Dean Ambrose had quite the eventful night on WWE Raw. He kicked things off with Seth Rollins and would have Roman Reigns as his tag partner in a victory over the champion and Kane. Ambrose would pin the champion to kick off the night, but would get arrested later in the night by accidentally striking a cameraman. He was brawling with J and J Security and would be arrested following the incident.
Later in the night, The Authority said he had to appear to sign the contract or he would not get his title match on Sunday. After Roman Reigns gets attacked, Dean Ambrose comes out in a cop van and gets on the offensive. He would sign the paper and our match is official.
I liked the development throughout the night with Dean Ambrose. With only a few weeks of programming to build a championship match, WWE knew that Ambrose could not be overexposed. He is a guy that does not need plenty of time to develop a feud that has been there for almost a year. He is the right choice, right now. Will he win? Of course not, but Ambrose benefits more in this feud than any other feud right now. WWE is backing him as a contender because they know what he can do in the ring and outside of it. Is he ready for a consistent spot in the main event? No, not yet.
Lana and Rusev Get Heated
Rusev beats R-Truth in quick fashion and then confronts Lana. He talks about how he is sorry and that he wants to crush America’s spirit with her. They embrace and then he tells her to apologize. She glares at him and leaves, with him yelling about how he owns her and she needs to know her place. Lana slaps him and says that she is not in the wrong. She leaves again and Dolph Ziggler comes out to the stage. They make out and Rusev flips out even more.
Another solid segment from Rusev. He is coming into his own and his jealous ways are a really good spotlight into more of an emotional character. We saw him as indestructible and a machine. Now, we are finally getting more out of him. Lana is just spectacular. She does it all and can have a Miss Elizabeth appeal to her for a very long time.
