The Bellas vs. Naomi and Tamina
The twins get started with some kicks and a running knee. Tamina gets the referee distracted and hits a big superkick to send Brie to the outside. Naomi kicks her and tries to pin her with her foot. Tamina comes in with some kicks. Brie continues to get beaten down and Nikki comes in with a hot tag. She hits some dropkicks and then a body press. She hits an Alabama Slam for a two count. Nikki fights off Tamina, but Naomi rolls her up for a two count. Naomi hits a Rear View, but gets a two count. Brie takes out Tamina on the outside and Naomi continues the assault. Nikki hits a spinebuster and tries to head up top. Naomi throws her off the top and picks up the win.
Not a bad match at all. The action never stopped and it was a nice showing from Naomi. Naomi is really good as a heel. Who knew she could pull such a smooth and natural transition off? The heels needed to win here. A loss hurts them, but a loss for the champion does not do a thing to harm her. Do we think Naomi is the next champion? I would love to see Naomi vs. Paige in a long storyline.
Neville vs. King Barrett
Neville flips and then hits a cross body for a quick pinfall. Both men head to the outside and Barrett kicks Neville in the stomach. Barrett takes control and kicks him in the back. Neville gets him up and then flips over, getting kicked in the stomach. Barrett looks to hit a Bullhamer, but Neville gets hit with a Winds of Change. Neville hits an elbow and then springboards off the rope. He covers Barrett and then gets a spinning heel kick. He heads up top and attempts the Red Arrow, but Barrett rolls to the outside. Neville flies to the outside with a corkscrew move. Barrett lets himself get counted out.
Too little for tonight. We see Neville, a rookie, pick up the win on his first PPV. We see a new gimmick in King Barrett lose. Even though he gets the upper hand after the match for a moment, does it really do anything for each guy? Neither benefits. Neither looks strong and the ending halts plenty of momentum from both guys. They should have had more time and more developments in the ring. What is the point of this feud continuing?
