So how does the Ascension get on your top TV show? How does cornball nonsense like that get on your top TV show? It feels like a rib, a practical joke. If you’ve built this feeder system, it needs to work better. Most of NXT’s successes are recycled indie guys. When did they learn it, and where did they learn it?
But if parody is what’s on tap, EC3 looks like a musclebound Jason Biggs. Kurt Angle should walk in on him having sex with a pie.
Neville vs. John Cena was great, and the Rusev angle was solid. Daniel Bryan’s speech was moving. He either has fake sincerity mastered, or he’s a mark. In a good way. Otherwise, Raw was bad. But I’m just bitter because I can’t get a job with WWE.
And now, a few questions:
When Neville does all those twists after leaping from the top rope, does that necessarily make the move’s impact more damaging to his opponent? Wouldn’t it be less risky and equally harmful to just jump directly onto his foe?
Why is a fireman’s carry a transition spot for everyone else, but a devastating finishing move for Cena?
Why is putting someone through a table so incapacitating? They’re thin and flimsy, and doing so actually breaks your opponent’s fall.
WWE has stopped Seth Rollins from using the curb stomp. Why not ban all moves that involve contact with the head? Anyway, isn’t wrestling fake?
