Harper and Rowan Back Together
It was the official reunion of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Here is the best part: they immediately become one of the most interesting tag teams in the WWE. They NEED to be heels, even though the champions are currently heels. Look at Kidd and Cesaro, two guys who flipped to faces so quickly.
The New Day will not be like that, but Rowan and Harper must remain heels and become champions by NOT pinning The New Day. Give it time, but not too much time. Luke and Erick should have been champions multiple times before. Depth in the tag team division makes me excited for the potential for the rest of 2015. Great booking decision.
John Cena vs. Neville
Another United States Championship match for John Cena. Another former NXT Champion gets a big spotlight. Cena hits a nice suplex and Neville kicks out at two. He tries to hit AA, but Neville slides under and gets a two count. Neville flips and hits an elbow to the face. Cena catches him in a crossbody and then Neville kicks him in the face. He gets another two count and the crowd is appreciating the efforts.
Neville sets him up for the Red Arrow, but Cena locks in the STF. He forces a break and clotheslined him. Cena hits an AA and gets a two count. The action slows down and the former NXT champion is on the top with Cena and connects with a Powerbomb. He goes for the Red Arrow and connects. Rusev attacks Neville and then hits John Cena in the back. He locks in The Accolade and stands tall.
Perfect booking. I was wondering if it would be Rusev or Barrett interfering. Neville wins, but does not win the championship. He hangs with the big dog and continues to get a huge push, albeit to the hands of John Cena. I wanted Rusev to do more to Cena, but they have had months to get physical. Sometimes, less is more.
