WZ Mailbag: Do IW Sites Ruin Kayfabe?, Cena & Bryan as Mid-Card Title Holders, WrestleMania in London, the IWC, Neville’s Push & More

wwe rawWhy do the [Internet] fans, or dirt sheets especially get a bad wrap?

It really has to do with misconceptions. Back in the day wrestling websites and dirt sheets were filled with these stereotypical “wrestling nerds”, nowadays websites such as WrestleZone get women, children, teens, young people, old people on here every single day. WWE has just caught on to the social media effect just a few years ago and frankly there are still many stereotypes about people going through websites like this one. It’s a sad fact but some people (Vince) can not get over the fact that so many people visit wrestling websites, and so you hear the announcers and people within WWE always poking fun at so called Internet fans. There are plenty of other reasons but that is my view on it.

Me and some friends were talking the night RAW didn’t run due to the storm and we got to thinking of the times there was no RAW, and I seem to recall back in the day during the highs of the Attitude Era that RAW didn’t air due to some technical problems due to the heat and humidity in the arena and Jim Ross was saying they were sorry and such. My question is if that actually happened/when. Thank you for your time, and Wrestlezone rocks, I check it every day for news. Rock on.

No, if I am not mistaken the snowstorm Raw was the first cancelled Raw in its 22 year run, so I’m pretty sure the event you are talking about is either storyline or something…actually I have no idea, this is the first time I have heard of such a thing.

With the WWE Network having PPV’s ‘on demand’ do you think this may increase the possibility of London having a Wrestlemania and the powers that be not having to worry about the difference in time?

Wrestlemania is a homegrown event which people want to see live. Americans don’t want to leave the country to see an event, a costly one at that. Let me be blunt, I don’t see London or the UK ever having Wrestlemania, sorry to let all the UK fans down. The only international city I see holding another Wrestlemania in is Toronto. It’s just not going to happen.

Based on him making it to the finals of the King of the Ring tournament (but losing), does that show that Neville is being used well since transitioning from NXT to the main roster?

I would say so. He is no doubt a great athlete but making him King right now probably wouldn’t be the best option. He has to work himself up to gain credibility so I would say they are booking him correctly so far.
