Neville and Dolph Ziggler defeated Bad News Barrett and Sheamus
This was a fun tag team match with plenty of offense and action to go around. The feud with Dolph and Sheamus makes so much sense. Sheamus needed one of the most “over” guys in the WWE, from a crowd perspective. He targeted Dolph because NOBODY boos Ziggler. He is such a good wrestler and simple character that connects with the crowd. The match on Sunday, albeit a horrible gimmick match.
As for Neville, he continues to impress and maybe an injury to Daniel Bryan is just what this guy needs. It is hard to say that he is not capable of becoming IC Champion. Would he do better as champion or a guy like Barrett who has held it multiple times?
Naomi defeated Natalya
Naomi picks up a win a few days before her championship match at Extreme Rules. Do not be surprised to see Naomi walk out as champion, especially since it would be a new fresh take on her character. She is better as a heel, but needs to go “balls to the wall” with it. She cannot be in-between good and bad.
With The Bellas as heels for such a long time, I am still confused why they decided to go with this pairing. Naomi is deserving of a championship run. If she did not get hurt a year ago, she may have had one or two runs since then. Either way, WWE should pull the trigger and go with something new.
