Tough Enough Announcement
Triple H comes out and talks about finding the next Seth Rollins. June 23rd on the USA Network will have the return of Tough Enough. He talks about the reality show that allows someone to live their dream. He talks about the fame and the glory and that is the dream that being a WWE Superstar is better than any dream you could ever have.
I’ve enjoyed the original Tough Enough and even some of when Stone Cold hosted it, but it seems like nothing pans out. Instead of this, isn’t this what NXT should be about? Maybe it works, but maybe it is used for more original programming on the USA Network and nothing else. We shall see what happens. Like WWE needs more original programming, eh?
Kane comes out and says he has enjoyed working as the Director of Operations. Kane gives Triple H his two weeks notice, but Triple H says they can talk it out. Seth Rollins says he is worth the investment and Rollins calls him a loser. He says he did what he was supposed to do and Kane yells at him and says he does not deserve anything. Kane yells and says he could make El Torito champion. Triple H makes Kane guardian of the gate, saying that he will control the action from the door.
Kane finally showed some personality, some anger and some depth to his character. We all know that he is better with the mask on, but tonight was the best I have heard him in quite some time. It adds another piece to the match, but is Kane overshadowing the great match that Seth Rollins and Randy Orton could have by themselves?
Naomi vs. Brie Bella
The Divas lock up and Naomi throws her to the mat. Naomi kicks her in the head and the grabs her by the neck. She hits an upper cut and then a take down. Head scissors take down and Naomi yells at Brie. Brie hits her in the face with some forearms and a clothesline. Naomi hits her in the face and then gets elbowed. More knees and Brie gets spilled to the outside heading into a break.
Naomi has her in a head lock and continues to apply pressure on her neck. She continues to throw her around the ring and show some aggression. Brie kicks Naomi and both Divas are down in the ring. She hits a clothesline and a dropkick and hits a running knee to Naomi. She connects with another missile dropick and picks up a two count. Naomi hits a bulldog head first and misses a cross body. Brie gets another near fall and Naomi slaps her in the face. She hits Rear View for the win.
Well done by both Divas tonight. Aside from a terrible finisher, Naomi is ready. She looks aggressive and has always had the talent. I assume Nikki is supposed to be cheered now? Would Naomi, with an attitude adjustment and change towards aggression, still be a face? It is not going to happen, but they are flooded with heels right now in the division. All turns aside, this was a really good technically sound match with enough time to give both Divas a chance to shine.
