Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Should There Be A New Wyatt Family?”

New Day vs. Cesaro and Kidd

wwe smackdownBig E takes control of the match with a belly to belly on Kidd. Cesaro gets a tag and then locks in a submission hold into a gut wrench suplex for a two count. He slugs away at Big E and slows things down. Cesaro gets him in the Cesaro swing and Kidd connects with a dropkick. Kofi breaks the count up and desperation time kicks in for New Day.

Big E finally turns the tables and tags in his tag team partner. Kofi and Kidd get going and Kingston unloads with his offense. Cesaro gets an Uppercut and Kidd hits his finisher for the win.

The champions win in heel fashion. New Day are obviously heels. The crowd loves Cesaro and Kidd, but does WWE creative want them as faces? It was confusing, even though everybody watching knew that New Day were booked to be the bad guys. Logic was a little flawed here, but it was a good tag team match that strengthened the champions. Non-title usually means the champions lose. Thankfully, not tonight.

Neville Debuts on Smackdown

Neville debuts on Smackdown and picks up a win over Curtis Axel, who is still trying to be interesting. Neville’s entrance is perfect for him. It makes him seem important and unique. The guy’s offense is just ridiculous and he entertains. Whether it is the cartwheels or his finish from the top, he keeps you entertained.

Long term booking has me thinking he could go from a singles guy to a potential tag team champion. What that does is develop his persona with someone else helping him. I am not bashing his personality, but we have not seen it yet. The good thing is that he is jacked to the moon. The guy is cut and looks like he could fight. He is not the tallest, but I do not see this being much of an issue right now.
