Wrestlezone Ranks Every WrestleMania — Part One: The Mediocre Manias

21. WRESTLEMANIA 2000

Remember when talking about WrestleMania XV and how the WWF was almost out of the woods with mediocre pay-per-view performances? Chronologically, this is almost the last one. We’re almost there!

WrestleMania 2000 was a really good example of how the sheer madness of the Attitude Era sometimes didn’t yield the best overall results. The insanity made for frequently great television, but shows like this made us beg for the creative minds to start reigning things in.

The best thing I can say about WrestleMania 2000 is that it’s the best wrestling show on this list so far. There was a first-ever triangle ladder match between three of the greatest teams in history – although they were just regarded as “the greatest teams of right now” at the time. The main event, while extremely convoluted, had its fun moments. Watching it back, it may just be the most ridiculous and “busy” match in WWF history.
