Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Excellent Show of Emotions and Intensity”

The Evolution of Bram

impact wrestlingBram stole the show for me tonight. His feud with Magnus reached a new level. Bill Pritchard of Wrestlezone took the word right out of my mouth when describing Bram: He is twisted. He has been built up like a mega heel should, with the focus on his friend and his wife. It takes more than just the writing for a story to come to fruition. You need the right pieces and Bram is the perfect fit for this role.

He has the insane and crazy look in his eyes when talking, when fighting and when acting. He does all the little things right for the feud right now. Bram is the type of guy that can thrive in many avenues, but all of those avenues must keep him a heel. Tonight was his best. Hands down, this was the best character of Bram I have seen. Forget the hardcore matches and his usage of weapons. The guy knows what he is.

Hair vs. Hair Ends The Night

The long story of Ethan Carter and Rockstar Spud got a well-deserved main event spot tonight. Carter and Spud took their feud to the highest of heights tonight and it was great.

Spud takes Ethan out with a top rope somersault dive. Tyrus gets involved and powerbombs Spud. This prompts Ken Anderson to come out and punch Tyrus a few times, and drops him with a Mic Check on the ramp.

Ethan elbows Anderson with his brace and knocks him down. He focuses his attention to Spud, busting him open with the aforementioned brace. Carter throws him to the outside and taunts him in the ring.  Jeremy Borash runs in and low blows Ethan behind the ref’s back, and Spud hits a diving cutter for two.

Ethan throws him around the ring and smashes his face over and over again on the mat. Rockstar Spud refuses to stay down, as Carter yells over and over again at him.

Spud low blows Ethan and kicks him in the face, hitting a Shining Wizard. Alas, EC3 hits the One Percenter for the win. After the match, he cuts a promo about Spud being resilient and how much they have been through, so he won’t shave his head. They shake hands and Carter uses that as a ploy to tell him he runs the world and ends up shaving his head.

A great ending to a story that really grew on me recently. Kudos to Spud for really letting EC3 become this really good heel. I question some of the decisions in the match tonight, especially so many outside interferences. Nonetheless, the blood was used perfectly and was the story of the night. You can see the emotion in both men telling the story. There is not much else to really say besides EC3 is going to move onto bigger opponents and Spud gave it all he had to get over with the TNA fans. Both men helped each other reach a new level of importance.
