Intercontinental Championship Chase Continues
Daniel Bryan took care of business against Bad News Barrett on WWE Raw. Bryan, not included in the Ladder Match yet, beats the champion in a non-title match. Immediately after this, Dean Ambrose takes care of Stardust in a quick match. He hits Dirty Deeds for the win.
Luke Harper, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth came out and got involved into the mix. R-Truth took advantage of the chaos to took Barrett’s title into a burlap sack. Truth surrendered the bag under threat of a Bull Hammer. Barrett goes into the sack and sees it a fake, with Truth holding onto the actual title.
What is your opinion on the week after week repetitiveness that this build has? I do not mind it, even though I can do without R-Truth and Stardust in it. Where the hell is Goldust and why did WWE stall on such a natural and easy to book feud?
I do not hate R-Truth, but I hate how he “suddenly” becomes IC Championship material. Give me Ambrose/Barrett/Ziggler/Harper/Bryan in the ladder match. At least we know these guys COULD be world championship material. (some again) I just don’t buy R-Truth fitting in with everyone else. He is purely the comedy act that really isn’t THAT funny.
Without Paul Heyman, Where Would We Be?
Paul Heyman comes out and cuts a promo, basically hyping up Brock Lesnar. He does it so well, even though we have heard this speech many times. Paul Heyman talks about how Brock Lesnar has conquered The Rock, The Undertaker and will conquer Roman Reigns. They say Roman Reigns is not a match for Lesnar and Heyman connects some backstage news.
Heyman crosses a great line and says that Brock Lesnar can do what he wants, even unifying the WWE and UFC Championship if he wants. Paul Heyman kills the promo.
Wonderful. Simply captivating stuff from Paul Heyman tonight. He just gets it, he says it and he always delivers. There has never been a guy so good at saying the same thing over and over but making it dramatic every time. What has he REALLY said that is different from weeks past? NOTHING, but we all love it and all know how good he is.
Reigns vs. Lesnar is missing one thing: THEY NEED TO BE SEEN IN THE SAME SEGMENT!
