Tyson Kidd and Cesaro defeated Los Matadores
Kidd and Cesaro pick up the win after some trickery attempts from El Torito and his teammates. I am not sure what to say here. I can easily talk about the lack of tag teams in the WWE, but that has seemed to be the case for years. I can talk about how WWE is not sure where Cesaro and Kidd are going at WrestleMania.
I would not be against a tag team championship rematch, but maybe have some sort of stipulation. I can see a simple tag team title match being effective as well, because the card has a few stipulation matches already. Either way, do we really care to see the champions beat a team like this on Smackdown? Isn’t there a better way to utilize them?
Ryback vs. Kane/Ryback vs. Big Show
Ryback and Kane start off with a physical match. Ryback hits a few body slams and Kane takes over with a big boot. Ryback ducks a move and Kane almost knocks Big Show off the apron. This allows Ryback to hit Meathook Clothesline and a Shell Shock for the win.
Big Show now wants a piece of Ryback and both men go at it. Ryback slams him in the corner and rams him with his shoulder a few times, then he hits a spinebuster and calls for a Meathook. Ryback hits Kane with a clothesline, which allows Big Show to hit Knockout Punch for the win.
It was not a bad few segments for three guys in the Battle Royal, but I do think that WWE is going to try and push Kane vs. Big Show at some point, which I DO NOT WANT TO SEE. Ryback is a guy that is in flux right now.
What do you do with him? Is he a favorite to win the Battle Royal? He could easily get that win and continue his slow push up top again. Either way, not a bad segment but there was a lack of intrigue from my end. I am just over seeing Kane and Big Show being a primary focus on a weekly basis.
