A Step Back For Rusev
Rusev and Lana come to the ring and talk about being the United States Champion. They focus harsh words towards John Cena and talk about how his time is over. They also bash the United States until Jack Swagger comes out. He says Rusev is scared to fight John Cena. Swagger does a “We The People” chant and the brawl begins. It ends up with Rusev beating down Swagger and applying The Accolade.
A step in the wrong direction for Rusev took place tonight. What does him beating down Jack Swagger go? Seriously, Swagger and Rusev have had so many encounters and Swagger is irrelevant right now. Rusev needs to focus on someone else to coy him into facing John Cena. What about Hulk Hogan? What about someone that he have not really seen him encounter as much lately? Either way, the time for Swagger and Rusev to be interesting and help develop another feud is long gone.
Natalya defeated Naomi
Natalya gets her in a wristlock, then she sweeps Naomi’s legs and goes for a leglock. Naomi gets the upper hand with a head scissors, but the power of Natalya takes over.
Naomi hits a nice athletic move to stun Natalya. Nattie tries to attack but Naomi kicks her in the knee. Jimmy, on the outside, kicks Tyson Kidd in the face. This leads to Cesaro and Jey brawling. Nattie looks to have hurt her ankle so the ref checks on her. Naomi gets fooled and Natalya picks up the heel-ish win with a sweeping clothesline.
I like how WWE is really going for it with Natalya as a heel. She has that natural b*tch face look, which I mean in all good ways. She looks like someone that you do not want to tick off. I like this aggressive and tactful version of Natalya and still am in belief that these 6 will be featured somewhere on the WrestleMania 31 card. This could be too good of a match to pass up in relation to story depth, Total Divas storyline and overall talent.
