#GiveDivasAChance

PaigeBut in an era where wrestling is crying for something different, this seems to be presenting itself on a silver platter.

Use sex in the storylines. Don’t pander, but it’s part of life. OK, maybe pander a little. The Divas are scantily-clad, after all.

TNA should have caught on to this a long time ago. I’ve long said that TNA’s Knockouts are the most talented portion of the roster. It might be their only potential edge over WWE.

Again: SOMETHING DIFFERENT. Don’t just utilize women in throwaway fashion. That’s disrespectful and wasteful, especially given that two of WWE’s primary executives – Stephanie McMahon and Michelle Wilson – are women.  Stephanie got her opportunity via bloodlines. But she’s certainly made the most of it, and functioned quite well in what’s traditionally a man’s domain.

You’d think Stephanie would demand more respect for the Divas. Better use. Talent always tells, but The Rock or Steve Austin couldn’t get over via 30-second doses. That’s not a fair chance.

I’ve said before, and say now again: Natalya and Charlotte should battle over the Divas’ title for a year. Make it a real wrestling feud. Treat the Divas like real wrestlers. They certainly deserve more time than The New Day. Or Adam Rose. Or Curtis Axel. Or Fandango. Or R-Truth. Or The Ascension.

Oh, my God, the friggin’ Ascension. Has there ever been a bigger joke than these two buffoons? I’m beginning to think it’s a rib.
