WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Jimmy and Jey work a double team move to the outside, taking out Cesaro. Kidd uses Nattie as a shield and Cesaro is able to get back into the ring and hit some uppercuts. Kidd catches Jey and throws him with his legs to the outside. The Uso’s catch Kidd and throw him into the barricade. Jimmy hits Cesaro with a back drop. Jimmy and Cesaro spill to the outside. Jey hits a cross body for a two count as we hit a break.
After more excellent moves and some tag team offense, including a swing and dropkick combination by the champions. Tyson Kidd puts his feet on the ropes and then Naomi throws them off the ropes. Nattie shoves her and the girls get into it. Nattie causes a DQ and the champions retain.
I really like how this is building. WWE is actually investing their time and efforts into a storyline for the tag team champions AND Total Divas. The best part: it does not suck. It is logical and adds pieces into a preexisting storyline. I am in favor of a 6 man tag team match at WrestleMania 31. It would be a spice up and the tag titles could still somehow be on the line. Tyson and Cesaro are so good. They are smooth and know how the other operates. Neither really lack much and that is their strongest points.
Stardust defeated Jack Swagger
Swagger gets going early and tries to lock in the Patriot Lock. Swagger picks the ankle and makes him tap out, as Goldust’s music hit for the distraction.
Goldust looks upset and shakes his head. He goes crazy in the ring and stares at his brother.
Goldust causes a distraction to get his brother back? Wouldn’t it be better if he tried to help him? This was really odd and random. It was not effective and the steam from this feud can be let out of it sooner rather than later. They need something better than this.
John Cena vs. Rusev
John Cena talks about getting a rematch against Rusev. You get the same old song and dance, with Rusev and Lana bashing the US and John Cena talking about the real heroes in the world. He stands up for the United States and challenges Rusev for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 31. Rusev says no.
I can understand this. Rusev’s best asset is that he has made the anti-American gimmick work better than most. It shows how good of a character he is and how valuable Lana has been to him. This match will happen and it will happen at WrestleMania. I can’t hate the fact that this championship will feel SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT now. Well done for WWE, even though the US vs. Russia has been done 3-4 times already. I liked a feud without that storyline, but it makes sense for the grand stage of WrestleMania.
