Prime Time Players vs. The Ascension
Viktor punches and kicks Young and Konnor gets into the ring. Both men just unload and Konnor hits an uppercut. More quick tags and the heels are in control. Double shoulder block and Young is able to get a little bit of offense in. Darren hits a dropkick and then a belly to belly. Konnor throws Darren into the corner and his head whips off the ropes. Titus breaks up a two count and clotheslines Konnor. Viktor kicks Titus and Darren rolls over and picks up the win. The Ascension begins to beat down PTP. They hit Fall of Man on Young.
It just seems like The Ascension is not clicking right now with the live crowd. That is a serious problem. Prime Time Players pick up a win, but it shows you this: there is no other tag team that deserves a chance against Tyson Kidd and Cesaro more than Jimmy and Jey. They connect with the crowd.. Even though they might wrestle a handful of times in the next month, Uso’s and the new champions are the only interesting thing right now going in the division. I do not see that changing in the next 30 days.
Roman Reigns is Going To WrestleMania 31
Roman Reigns talks about winning and beating Daniel Bryan last night. He screams in jubilation about going to WrestleMania. Out comes Daniel Bryan to a huge ovation. Daniel Bryan said he was like everyone else and booed Roman Reigns. Daniel Bryan says he is the biggest doubter in Roman Reigns. Daniel Bryan talks about size and about heart, saying why people like him over Roman Reigns. Bryan said he came up short and lost last night.
Daniel Bryan was proven wrong and that Roman Reigns had heart. Daniel Bryan says congratulations and they shake hands. Daniel leaves and Paul Heyman comes to the ring. Heyman says he would put his money on Roman Reigns over some of the legends. Heyman says his money at the Rumble was on Reigns, but his money will be on Brock Lesnar. He says he is not fighting a man, but rather a beast. Roman says he is only getting motivated by his doubters. Roman Reigns says Brock Lesnar will not respect him and will beat him his way.
This was an excellent segment. The fans believe what we hear from Daniel Bryan and Paul Heyman. In two different ways, Roman Reigns was put over. He did a great job of holding his own and is beginning to get very comfortable with what he says and how he says it. You can see the expression on his face and the determination in his eyes. Well done all around. It feels more important and more fans will begin to cheer Roman Reigns. Fans will get over it.
