Splitting Up Gold and Stardust
Dusty Rhodes appears and talks some sense into his sons. Stardust confirms with Goldust that he is going to be okay. They head to a match against The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
Goldust works quick and Woods takes him down as well. The brothers are in sync and working well together, executing a few good offensive moves as well. Kofi unloads with his usual flurry of offense. Kofi tries to hit his finisher and Stardust ducks out of the way. It hits Goldust and Stardust looks upset. He picks his brother up off the mat and hits his finisher.
Simple and effective. It needed to happen. This could be really good or really average. I cannot see them being a flop. This can be creative and a really good mid card match at WrestleMania. I like seeing Cody as the heel. He is the guy that can transition into a good or bad guy at the drop of a hat. Goldust is more nostalgic and deserves a final match on the grand stage. I want Dusty to be a big part of this. He has to.
Roman Reigns vs. Kane
Roman starts off hot with a suplex. Kane rakes him in the eye and Reigns has to battle out. Kane hits a few more moves and then locks in a sleeper. Kane continues the assault with many strikes and quick offensive moves. Roman hits a clothesline from the second rope and unloads into the corner. He kicks Kane over and over again and hits a Samoan drop for a two count.
Kane hits a boot and knocks the Royal Rumble winner to the outside. He begins to take apart the announce table. Roman Reigns spears Kane and wins via countout.
Hmm, this was an odd booking to a finish of the match. What does this do for Roman Reigns, getting a countout win over Kane? He should be built like a champion, not a chump. Reigns invited Bryan into the ring and he cheers on the outside. Roman Reigns NEEDS to be on commentary later tonight and make a big statement. Mind games are to the advantage of Daniel Bryan. It makes you want to see what happens later tonight.
Paige defeated Summer Rae
Paige throws her down on the mat and whips her into the corner. She hits a few knees and then gets back into the ring. Summer hits a spinning heel kick and gets a two count. Rae locks in a submission hold and gets a two count. She hits a leg drop and gets going offensively. She misses another leg drop and Paige hits a few consecutive clotheslines. Paige kicks her in the stomach and then another shot. She locks in the PTO for the win.
Paige and Summer put on an average 3-4 minute match. There is not much you can do in that time span. I do not get the storyline of Paige’s clothes being stolen by Brie and Nikki. Brie comes out in her leather jacket and Paige fires back and says winning makes her look good. She says she is going to wearing the WWE Divas Championship. Please give me Paige as champion heading into WrestleMania 31. Please. I should not complain. I have been asking for months about an actual storyline. At least we are getting one, right?
