Whenever morality mixes with the bastard back-alley perversion of sports that is fake wrestling, well…you’ve just got to laugh.
Near as I can tell, here’s what happened with Seth Rollins: His (now ex-)fiancée got into his phone and found a naked picture of NXT diva Zahra Schreiber. Said (now ex-)fiancée did not conclude that young Seth got said picture from a third party. (Now ex-)fiancée posts nude pic on Instagram. (Now ex-)fiancée posts nude pics of (now ex-)fiancé on Twitter. Young Seth cringes in embarrassment, but at least it’s for the right reasons. Not porn-sized, but pretty big.
WWE management is in a tizzy. Rollins will reportedly be fined, and may not get his “Money in the Bank” world title run.
Like I said, you’ve just got to laugh. Rollins’ relationships are none of Vince McMahon’s business, and he is not responsible for the pictures being posted. Besides, any publicity is good publicity. WWE could use a little “attitude.”
Can McMahon possibly be censuring Rollins for having strayed from his relationship? If so, how many times could McMahon fire himself?
Triple H strayed from his relationship to consort with the boss’ daughter. That didn’t get Trips punished. That got Trips put in charge.
Wrestling is and always has been a hotbed of road hookups, infidelity and sexual harassment. Punishing Rollins is arbitrary, capricious and downright silly.
