Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan vs. Kane and Big Show
Raw kicks off just how I wanted it, with Roman Reigns coming out to talk about the happenings of last week. This prompts Daniel Bryan to come out, where he says he is the better wrestler than Roman Reigns. The Authority comes out and talks about WWE Fast Lane and Sting. They end up booking Big Show and Kane vs. Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan right now.
Roman Reigns is beaten down by Kane and Big Show during the early portions of the match. Bryan and Show get the tags and Bryan kicks Kane off the apron. He hits a big dropkick a few times into the corner. He unloads more kicks to his stomach and Big Show is on his knees. Bryan goes up top and gets caught in mid air. Kane and Show throw him onto the ropes and we head to a commercial break.
Big Show body slams him and then steps all over Daniel Bryan before taunting Reigns. Reigns gets a chop to the neck and then Bryan locks in the Yes Lock! Big Show throws Daniel Bryan over the barricade and he unloads on The Big Show. Reigns takes out Kane and saves Bryan. Big Show grabs a chair and smacks him with it. Reigns hits a Superman Punch onto Show and then smashes him with the chair. Kane moves and Bryan hits Reigns with a running dropkick. Roman and Daniel argue and Reigns pushes him.
Triple H books Kane, Big Show, J and J Security and Seth Rollins for later tonight.
WWE gives us a really solid 30 minutes of story development from their two biggest challengers to Brock Lesnar. I thought the promo was really good and the action after the DQ was great. The fans got behind Reigns and really got behind Bryan, as per usual. There was dissension between the two guys and they will be in a 5-2 match later tonight. WWE MUST HAVE BROCK LESNAR come out. Use him like a wrecking ball and not the Miley Cyrus way. This makes me want to see what happens later, something that rarely happens.
Seth Rollins vs. Ryback
Seth Rollins keeps the pace going. He throws Ryback to the outside and Mercury and Noble hit Ryback while the referee is distracted. He hits a neckbreaker and gets a two count. J and J Security get involved after a spinebuster. Rollins kicks him and hits a Curb Stomp.
I hate the fact that two matches ended in the same way. Rollins loses via disqualification. He needs to pick up legit wins. It would do nothing if Ryback lost with interference on the outside. All this tells me is that this week and next week is killing time for Rollins waiting on the inevitable return of Randy Orton. Sign me up for that match. This was simply below average. It did not do much for Rollins or Ryback moving forward and will easily be forgettable.
