Then he got pinned by Big Show in under three minutes. WTF?
The talk segment put Reigns’ character in a bad position. He’s stupid if he risks his ‘Mania title shot at Fast Lane, but he’s a coward if he doesn’t. WCW constantly buried babyfaces via compromising their characters. (See Borden, Steve.)
WWE Network now has over a million subscribers. WWE can point at that and say, “See? What we’re doing is working. The hijack crew is just a nutty minority.”
WWE might be right. I hate their booking, but money talks. With proper booking, however, the Network might have gone over a million subscribers months ago.
The Undertaker might come back to wrestle Bray Wyatt at ‘Mania. ‘Taker would win. What good does that do Wyatt, 22 years younger and a guy who works full-time? WWE would explain ‘Taker winning as “giving the people what they want.”
But Lesnar beating ‘Taker last year wasn’t what the people wanted, and it worked. Reigns as champ doesn’t seem to be what the people want.
WWE should never have broken up the Wyatt family. Those two big jabronis are meaningless, and what good is a cult leader without a cult?
